Coach Saumu Ally Makes Waves for Kenya!
Laikipia Aquatics and Kenyan swimming fraternity is over the moon to celebrate Coach Saumu Ally, who has been selected as Assistant Coach for Team Kenya at the World Aquatics Junior Swimming Championships in Romania in August, 2025!
Saumu is the driving force behind Gold Fish Swimming Club, a fierce competitor, and an inspiration to swimmers across the Mt. Kenya region. With an American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) Level 4 coaching certification and credentials as a World Aquatics Official, she’s proven time and again that hard work and passion can take you anywhere.
Currently, Saumu is in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, pushing herself even further as she trains for her ASCA Level 5 coaching certification. She’s joined by top coaches like Sila from Orca and Dan Mutua from Braeburn & official of Kenya Swimming TeachersandCoaches Association (KSTCA), all united in their mission to elevate Kenyan swimming to new heights.
But Saumu’s journey is about more than medals and titles — she’s blazing a trail for young women in coaching, determined to close the gender gap and show that the pool has room for everyone to lead.
Bravo, Saumu — you’ve made us proud. The world better watch out, because you’re just getting started!
